A Homemade Christmas

I’m a day late–as usual!     But if you read on my daughters’ blog, Seven Sisters, you will know that we girls were up ALL night!  I went to bed at 6 a.m.!

Next week, I’ll try to get back on track with Frugal Fridays.

So here are the final homemade gifts!

A purple dress-up robe for Bekah!

And yes, she DID get a poncho, too!

Leah wanted a petticoat–there are 6 yards of eyelet lace on the ruffle!!!

Anna got a bathrobe (I bought this fabric for her four years ago–took a little rearranging but I got a bigger size out of it!!!  Whew!)

Two years ago, I made Charissa a rice bag shaped like a cat, made out of a towel.  I got the idea this year to make each of the children their own rice bag (they like to microwave them and take them with them to bed to keep warm!).   The rest of them are not so complex–just a tube!    Bekah didn’t get one from me–maybe Jessica will post on their blog a picture of the cute cow one she made Bekah!

And here are just some cute pictures I couldn’t resist adding in!!!

Anna, holding Isaiah, who looks to be trying to tickle Noah!

Isaiah’s favorite "toy" for awhile, was scooping up the trash into a pile, then running and jumping into it!  Here, though, he was trying to hide in the middle of it!   (By the way, the bow in his hair was his idea!)

Great picture of Cassia, outside!  Brrr!

But wait….did you look closer?!  Is she…she isn’t!   Is she?!

She’s barefoot!!!

We won’t tell you WHY she ran outside to throw something into the dumpster…..nor why in the world she didn’t think she needed to put at least flip-flops on!!!!

And here’s a lapful!!!

I hope you don’t get tired of seeing my boys!   They are just too cute together!

Here they are in their tipi that Daddy found for them!

Hope you had a blessed Christmas!

Thank you so much for posting A Homemade Christmas posts! It has been a joy to see the things that you have made. :)

I cannot help but wonder why, exactly, Cassia went barefoot out of doors! lol!

I wish I wasn't raised in the city. I love my girls to dress the ways yours do, but I'm worried some of my overly stylish me will brush on them…ha…ha… blah blah. I love the way your household looks. I Love it Love it! Can I be you when I grow up?

My son ran out side barefoot in the snow a few winters ago. He is a real nature loving boy, and he wanted to feel the snow under his feet.

He hasn't done it since then :o)

But he will still go out without a jacket in the winter at times .

I love the photos of your family. You all have such a joy in the Lord that shines thru.

    Bless you all!
