Please Pray!

The devastation in Japan is really beyond our ability to comprehend.   We have been praying for everyone over there, but especially for one family.

My friend Joni is on the T-Tapp forums and lives in the northern mountains of Japan, just 80 miles from the epicenter of the earthquake.  Thankfully she and her family are okay and all together!

But, before this all hit they were planning to come to the U.S. to see her parents, who aren’t doing well.

They have received funds to be able to leave, but obviously that is not going to be an easy task, with roads buckled, no electricity, fuel rations, etc.

Would you please pray for my friend Joni and her family, that God would work out all the details for them to come?

And please continue to pray for everyone in Japan….that the Lord would be  close to them and that many who don’t know Him would come to trust Him through this tragedy?   And of course, pray for the needed supplies to get to those who are in dire need of them.

Thank you!

( I will post more later about T-Tapp as promised!)

Thank you for posting this. I am devastated by what these people are going through and wonder what more they will continue to face in the upcoming weeks and months?

I would also encourage people to donate what they can but make sure that they are donating to a reliable source. You want the majority if not all of your money to go directly to relief and not someone’s paycheck. I will be donating through my church, but I’ve heard that the Red Cross has been given high marks as an organization that will handle donations efficiently and with integrity.

A friend of mine’s children held a neighborhood lemonade stand yesterday as a fundraiser for Japan. These young children were able to raise 90 dollars in just a couple of hours. They were very excited and I thought it was a great learning experience for them.

That is wonderful about the children having a fundraiser! And wow! $90 in just a few hours is great!

Yes, the Red Cross is another good ministry. I know there are several out there, but like you said–everyone please be careful of who you are giving your money to. We want the people to get the most help, not pay someone’s salary. :p

Bless you for your prayers and giving!

I am SO glad to hear that Joni is ok. I am a friend of hers through a MOMYS list and a T-Tapp friend. My computer died and I lost her e-mail, but I have been praying for her. We live on the Northern most island of Japan (Hokkaido). Thank you for posting about praying for the Japanese.

    Blessings

Have you been hit hard by the earthquakes, also, Shellee? Is everyone okay?

Thank you so much for posting! We will keep you in our prayers, as well.

      HUGS!
